- The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is accountable for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices.
- Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
- Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist and one or two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to ASCP or AMT. New grads acceptable.
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from ASCP or AMT required within one year of hire.
- Evenings Monday - Friday:
3pm to 11:
30 pm - Every 3rd Weekend & Holiday Rotation:
11pm to 7am - Full Time; 80 hours every 2 weeks

- $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
